There you take a boat to visit the Petencito Biological Park, which is a place where they have animals from the Petén jungle that have been confiscated from poachers. In this park you will be able to observe the jaguar, crocodiles, deer, parrots, macaws, coatis, to name a few. Then in the boat we take you to the Mirador del Rey Canek which is located in the highest part of an archaeological site called “Tayasal” and from there you can admire the entire length and breadth of Lake Petén Itzá and its islands.

They move to the north of Petén in the heart of the Mayan Biosphere to visit the ruins where the first war of conquest took place in the Mayan region. In this archaeological site you will also visit the most representative astronomical observatory of the Classic period.

The Blue Crater

The El Pucté Wildlife Refuge located in the Municipality of Las Cruces, Petén, is home to a series of springs and streams with crystal clear waters, one of which is a large one is the Arroyo el Pucté or the Blue Crater. Most of these natural springs are navy blue or turquoise, and due to their crystal clear waters it is possible to observe the underwater garden that hides under them.
